FRP Mocoat Fiberglass Ltd.

Standardize Your Specs For Fiberglass

Fiberglass Specifications

In order for our products to perform correctly, the prospective developer or engineering company must first recognize the specifications for our fiberglass reinforced composite tanks, casings and wastewater treatment designs. Understanding the corrosive or aggressive environment FRP Mocoat products are required to withstand will help you choose the best stock or custom-made concept. Placing the quality of your unit as a top priority will make the decision process that much easier!

Though fiberglass reinforced plastics have been in production since the 1940s as a strong alternative to traditional materials like steel and wood, manufacturing companies didn’t start nationally recognizing specifications for fiberglass reinforced plastics until the 1960s. Today, there are many more necessary standards to production that must be adhered to. The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) uphold rigid standards in order to provide specs that enforce the safety of the installing crew and any workers thereafter.

FRP Mocoat’s 5’ diameter tanks and ball tanks are authorized by NSF Standard 61 for potable water tanks and our wastewater tanks are certified by CSA Standard B66 and you can trust that they’re corrosion-resistant. This erases any possibility of leakage due to internal or external rusting and ensures longevity. Our well casings are NSF/ANSI 61 approved and perform in any situation you need them to, including well liners, sump and pipe tanks, air release chambers, lift stations and even car wash pits! Our above-ground tanks are filament wound for increased strength to achieve ASTM D 3299 for hydro-static loads with explicit gravity of up to 1.2 and can be modified to accommodate numerous design specs including API 12P and NSF 61. Additionally, these designs can be built to meet ASME RTP-1 or API2P and are constructed and stamped by a P.Eng. with supporting documentation and Autocad drawings.

Whatever your specifications for your unique worksite, FRP Mocoat is here to help you achieve the safest application of our products that will withstand and last in any hostile weather and corrosive situation. For a quote, please visit our website and we’ll be in touch to discuss your project!
